Summary: These stories for children are the real life experiences of the author. He was chosen to settle a nomadic tribe of Aborigines, the Nunggabuyu people, in their own tribal country, Numbulwar, at the mouth of the Rose River. The drought in Northern Australia in 1952 caused largely by the failure of the Monsoons during the previous wet season, forced their removal from the Roper River area. He trained for missionary service at the Melbourne Bible Institute, served in North Australia from 1951 to 1963 with CMS. After theological training in Ormond College he served in Presbyterian churches in Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland, Canberra and Sydney. He retired in 1990.--Back cover.
