Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892) was a noted English pastor who preached in the six-thousand-seat Metropolitan Tabernacle in London. His success and popularity were due largely to his natural gift of oratory and his thoroughly biblical expository sermons. Spurgeon's sermons were marked by an earnestness that is not muted when the sermons are put in printed form. Scriptural, practical, and appealing, these messages have much to say to today's audiences. Laypersons and preachers alike will find much food to thought here.--Back cover.
