God's redemptive history through the Bible -- Theological basis and definition of mission -- New Testament model of mission -- History of mission -- The status of missions today -- Cross-cultural considerations -- Planting the church in new areas -- Challenges for mission today -- How Australian churches can engage in God's mission -- How to become a missionary -- Conclusion: Where to from here?
Summary: What is missions? Is anything missions? Or are only some things missions? Where should we be sending missionaries? Who should we be sending as missionaries? Should I go as a missionary? This book seeks to answer some of these questions. "Mission to Where?" challenges Western churches to be more involved in missions, and when they do, to do so in a more biblical manner. This book looks at the biblical basis of mission, and how this applies today. it also looks at the state of Christianity in different parts of the modern world. It closes with a practical section on how to prepare to be a missionary, including how to know if you might be called to be one. This book is very challenging, but it is not too long and is written in an easy-to-read style. Read, enjoy and be challenged.--Back cover.

Thommo Tank is from Australia. He is married with two children. Thommo repented and trusted in Christ during his late teens. During the 1990s he served the Lord in various capacities while working full time in the secular world. Over the last decade and a half he has worked in full-time vocational ministry, both in Australia and overseas and has completed six years of full-time theological training. Thommo is passionate about God's word, about Christians living the way God wants them to, and about every single person on the planet hearing the Good News and having an opportunity to repent, believe in Christ and receive eternal life.--Back cover.
