On front cover: A little boys journey to find a home of his own.

A poor, old, and ill organ-grinder is befriended by a young ragamuffin and together they discover the love of Jesus.

This book was written by Amy Catherine Deck Walton (1849-1939) in 1877. It's story illustrates the words of a hymn, "There is a city bright", which Amy and her mother, Mary Anne Sanderson Gibson Deck (1813–1903) wrote for a children's New Year's Sunday service at St. Stephen’s, Hull, where Mary's husband (and Amy's father) Rev. John Deck was vicar. In 1875, Amy had married her father’s curate, Octavius Frank Walton, and was subsequently known as Mrs. O. F. Walton.--http://www.hymntime.com/tch/htm/t/i/a/tiacityb.htm
