Then they'll be able to— Faithfulness and gentleness come as teens walk with Jesus and express His love to those around them.

An inspirational devotional full of everyday guidance for everyday things. Relatable in so many ways, this book would be amazing for any young girl striving to be more like God. It helped me through so much, answered many questions, gave incredible visuals, and drew me closer to God. Every page was refreshing! It felt so good to know that other people go through the same problems that i do. It felt good to know that somebody else out there feels my pain. But what I didn't realize was that God feels my pain everyday. He knows what we're going through more than anyone else. he understands. God is our most important teacher, most loving father, and closest friend. When things are going bad in your life, when everything falls apart, when it seems like the world is ending, and you don't know what to do, just remember, God has you. And he loves you more than you will ever know.

I am not usually into devotions because I do not usually stick to them. However, this one is written to keep you interested- to continue finding yourself whilst reading the bible. What I liked about it is, the blank sections to write in. Years later, you can go back to it, to see how your life progressed.

I recommend this devotion.

I've had this book on my shelves for ages, and I finally got round to reading it.
This book takes you through all the different flavours of the fruit of the Holy Spirit, with intermittent chapters on how Jesus portrayed these characteristics, set up so one can use it as a devotional, as I did.
I must say I've never seen the fruit of the Holy Spirit portrayed like this and it was very interesting, both the breakdown and application.
I got a lot out of this book and would highly recommend it.

Although this seems to have been written for younger girls, it still has value for young women as well. In her book, Elizabeth George takes each Fruit of the Spirit and shows how they can be spiritually applied to our daily lives. Her book contains practical advice that is simple to understand and addresses various situations that young girls and women confront in their lives. When times are tough and we feel troubled, it feels most natural to resort to anger or frustration, but, using Scripture as her foundation, George encourages young women to walk in the Spirit, showing God's love and mercy to others through our actions and words. These Scripture verses serve as reminders and guides of how a young Christian woman is to walk and talk in her life, seeking to bring all glory to God.
I would recommend this book for younger girls (10-17 years old), but I would not discourage young women from reading it, seeing as it has spiritually helpful advice for young women of all ages.
As the title displays, prayerfully walking in the Spirit causes us to "Grow More Like Jesus". :)

This is a great study for all young women on the fruits of the Spirit. Whether you are unfamiliar with the fruits of the Spirit, know the basics and want to dive deeper, or wish to see how these fruits can be more greatly applied in your life, this Bible study is beneficial and very much worth your time.

The book is broken up into 3 main sections:
-Getting the Right Attitudes (Love, Joy, Peace)
-Getting Along with Everybody (Patience, Kindness, Goodness)
-Getting Your Act Together (Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self Control)
Each section is concluded by an in depth look at how Jesus showed these fruits of the Spirit.

For each fruit of the Spirit, the study contains:
-A real-life story
-Bible verses and explanations that illustrate the fruit
-An applicable definition
-An explanation of why you should live out the fruit
-Ways to integrate the lesson into daily life

Each chapter also has a section in which you can look up additional Bible verses and answer questions to further explore the fruit of the Spirit.

*This study has helped me grow greatly as a Christian woman. I have grown closer to God through this study and am excited by this wonderful opportunity to learn what being "Christlike" really means. If the introduction seems a little too basic for you, keep going- I hope the rest of the study will change you as it has changed me.

Elizabeth George is a good devotion writer, she writes as if you are sitting at her table drinking coffee and visiting with her. She points out special issues in our lives and finds the scripture to remind us what God has to say about that in our lives. Because God knows everything about us. She never points fingers at the reader but when she says 'we should' including herself in her reminders.

This book is titled "A young woman's" but only a few places does it actually refer to a young adult. The rest of the book any aged person (male or female) could relate. After each chapter are questions to make you think about what you just read and how it applies to your life.

Ms George's books have been a favorite of mine since I was introduced to her books a few months ago

I purchased this book when I was just starting college and had never read it. It's definitely aimed toward a younger woman than I am now. If I had read it when I had first gotten it, it would have changed my world!

I think that this is a great book to bridge the gap between teen aged new believers and the older more established believers. Would recommend to all.

I would rate this one three and a half if I could. It wasn't that it wasn't a good book, it was actually a rather good book! I could definitely tell as I read it that it was geared towards a younger audience, maybe of early teens, late teens. It was geared towards a very innocent audience (Innocent as in not experienced with the world, nothing to do with sexual innocence although that topic was mentioned) and unfortunately my experience with the world in my early 20's has been an in-my-face example of how awful this world can be.
But all in all, this book was so good in that it took each one of the fruits of the Spirit and spent an entire chapter on each of them. At the end of each section, she compared it to how these fruits were evident in Jesus' life and how we can be more like him. Elizabeth George writes in such an upbeat style. You can almost see the smile on her face as she writes and talks to you like a person to person. I would highly recommend this book for all Christian young people and you know what? Even us girls in our early 20's can benefit from doing an in-depth study on the fruits of the Spirit! We all could use it in today's world, that's for sure!

Clearly I am not young and clearly that is not the first issue here, I am also not a woman, but that is neither here nor there in some respects, because there are excellent points to be made for all ages in this book, however I did purchase it as a birthday gift and wanted to ensure it was fine for the person, and as I have read a number of books by the author, it was another great challenging read, and quite affirming as well. She is a very good author.

This story is about a walk of a young woman with God. Sometimes we as young teenage girls don't want to give up the things of the world but there's nothing good out there at all that's why we need to focus on God and rely on him always because we shouldn't doubt that there is a God. Although I respect other people's belief but this is mine and so for me God is real because he has helped me throughout this whole process.
