I gave this book 5 stars because people need to read it. They need to see the obscenities that it tries to convey to teens. I was very happy that it only took me a few hours to get through. For anyone having to interact with people who believe the earth is 6000 years old, this is could be a very enlightening book to their mentality.

4 stars only because it is so short. Covers all the arguments (cosmological, teleological, ontological, moral) though I love when more evidence is brought in, especially on the teleological. Covers sexual identity, marriage, love, “race” (in quotes bc I agree with AIG it is a completely incorrect term), and how Christ is the only way. I’ve always loved Bodie Hodge books. This one is great if you are looking for a 1 hr apologetic for your kid. They’ll probably want more meat at which point you can give them things like Case for Christ, Evidence that Demands a Verdict, Ultimate Proof, Total Truth, etc

Excellent for teens even as night time devotional!

Has good philosophical basics and gives answers for teens who may need them and also are questioning . It's not preachey in style and Bodie has done a great job. Good price too.

A good intro to apologetics, but I do which they had gone a bit deeper on some of the topics and of course, I was disappointed that they left out the crucial step of baptism in the plan for salvation. I read this with my 15 and 12 year olds and had some good discussion.

In a world that is fast-paced and full of distractions, it is difficult for parents and ministry leaders to get the attention of teens. The reality is that in order to capture their attention and hopefully their hearts, we’re going to need to put in some extra effort. If we fail to do this, the media (music, movies, internet, etc.), their peers, and other teachers / influencers will fill in the gaps for us. The first step to influencing our teens for Christ and shaping their worldview is to give them our time. The second step is to be intentional about discipling our teens. A key part of this discipleship is to give them guidance on the types of doubts our modern culture will try to place on them as they are striving to grow and mature in their faith. This second step may seem a bit daunting as you wonder if you are even equipped to answer the questions your teens have related to their faith. Don’t despair just yet, as there are many great resources that you can get plugged into to help guide your discussions and equip you with the information you need to effectively answer their questions. A new resource that will be very useful in this regard is the Answers Book For Teens: Your Questions God’s Answers.

AB4T is geared for teens ages 13-17. It contains 15 lessons that are each centered around a core question. The lessons / chapters are about 5-6 pages in length. Topics covered are:

* Q1 – How can anyone believe that the Bible is true since it was written so long ago when people didn’t know stuff?
* Q2 – If God’s really so great, why does He let so much pain and bad stuff happen in the world, like earthquakes, floods, and wars??
* Q3 – I believe God created the earth, but does it really matter how old the earth is?
* Q4 – Who has the most evidence – creationists or evolutionists?
* Q5 – With everything I hear about God not existing…how can we even know that He does exist?
* Q6 – Come on, why would God punish the whole world for one guy’s mistake?
* Q7 – If God really loved the world, why would He make a flood to kill everyone off?
* Q8 – How could God populate the world with just two people a few thousand years ago?
* Q9 – Should people from different races marry each other, or is that wrong?
* Q10 – Why should I listen to what the Bible says about sex?
* Q11 – If Christians are supposed to love everybody, why do they always seem to hate gay people?
* Q12 – How are we supposed to talk about God and the Bible in school when it’s illegal?
* Q13 – How can we be sure Jesus is the only way to get to God?
* Q14 – The Bible…and dinosaurs…and dragons?
* Q15 – Why would God ever want to save someone as messed up as me?

It is also important to note that key terms, peoples, and worldviews are defined in the introduction to ensure that all readers are on the same page with the authors.

Considering the look and feel of the book, the pictures and graphics used throughout will definitely appeal to the intended teen audience. I know there is always concern that this sort of a book will seem a bit hokey, but given the quality of the writing and overall presentation, I feel strongly that teens will find it engaging and relevant. Personally I will be using AB4T for devotional reading with my teens / pre-teens ages 11-13. I would recommend it to parents and ministry leaders looking for a resource to help them intentionally interact with their teens on any of the questions covered in the book.

I had the great pleasure of reading and reviewing the new book titled Answers Book for Teens (AB4T) written by Bodie Hodge, Tommy Mitchell with Ken Ham which is geared towards teen and their questions about the Bible and how to answer those questions, whether they are asking them themselves or are being questioned by peers, teachers, media, etc. If you have teens or even a mature older child who has questions and you’re not sure how to answer them well then I’d say grab AB4T and let them read it – or read it together so you can have a meaningful, Biblically based discussion with your teen.

Written for teens ages 13 to 17 years old it’s great for older children who are mature enough and are asking deeper theological questions or adults who need a simple yet good answer to how to rebut an argument or just to answer the questions going through the mind. I really enjoyed this book and while I read it in under an hour, it would be good to go back and really reflect on the answers with a Bible at your side to make sure you’re getting a good understanding of what is being said in light of Scripture. So if you’re a Christian who thinks that you can pick and choose what to follow or that it doesn’t matter what age the earth really is then this book is a recommended read.

You’ll find such questions as:

“If God’s really so great, why does He let so much pain and stuff happen in the world, like earthquakes, floods and wars?”
“I believe God created the earth, but does it really matter how old the earth is?”
“Should people from different races marry each other or is that wrong?”
“If Christians are supposed to love everybody, why do they always seem to hate gay people?”
and more.

As I said above even though it says ages 13 to 17 years old I would feel comfortable giving this to my 9 almost 10 year old daughter. Why? The answers are Biblically sound and while I would give the same answers to her I know sometimes she prefers to read and getting her answers from a Biblically sound book by godly authors is a must. However, I would also give her the one caveat that she could not read the parts regarding sex, marital relationships or the question regarding homosexuality. This is because while the rest of the book she could understand, she is too young for this information and any questions in these areas need to be addressed by me. For what it’s worth, my daughter knows I trust her and if she is told to not read something she doesn’t.

This book is great, and if you’re looking for a present for a hard to buy for teen or one who is searching then this book would make a great present. Written in a way that will attract teens with it’s modern look and even “word clouds” this book is attractive and will draw teens and young people in and if their hearts are closed hopefully it will open them to the Truth and if they are Christian but questioning things hopefully this will go a long way in their gaining understanding.

**I was given a copy of the above book from New Leaf Publishing in exchange for my honest opinion, no other compensation was given.

More and more young people are questioning their faith, and ultimately most end up walking away from God and Church. It's no surprise, when you consider how much we are bombarded with a secular or evolutionist worldview. Schools, friends, media...even many Churches are teaching a theistic evolution, which only serves to confuse the young people even more. It is so important that we have the answers, and help teenagers to understand that God's Word is perfect, and that if we approach life from the authority of the Bible, everything makes sense! To help parents, Sunday School teachers, and concerned Christians, New Leaf Publishing just released a book called Answers Book For Teens. This is a book I highly recommend every teenager read! It should be in every Church/Sunday School library.

Written by Tommy Mitchell, Bodie Hodge and Ken Ham, this book is designed to catch a teen's eye and draw their interest from the very start. The book is in a question/answer style, and presents solid Biblical answers for 15 of the most common questions young people ask. These include Why does a good God allow bad things (pain, suffering, etc.)? Why would God punish everyone for Adam's sin? How can we know Jesus is the only way to God? and Who has the most evidence-creationists or evolutionists? I read the entire book in 1 day, and appreciated that it's not so long a teenager will lose interest. While the authors' don't apologize for their firm stand on God's Word, they also approach each subject with a caring heart. This book is written in a way that won't "turn off" a person who is searching, but also won't give them an excuse if they choose to follow their own way.

Some of my favorite books are the Answers Books, a series created by Answers in Genesis.

In these books, dozens of questions are answered. Most of them are about creation, or related issues. But there other questions included as well, involving several of the other fundamentals of the Christian faith.

When I learned that Master Books was producing a version of these books geared towards teens, I was excited!

Upon receiving my copy of what I hope to be the first of a series of several, I devoured it within hours.

I was impressed!

Written specifically for ages 13-17, AB4T answers fifteen different questions, half of which are specifically related to Creation issues. The rest deal with questions that frequently plague teens: questions of identity, pain, sex and faith.

Written in an engaging manner, sure to grab and hold the attention of the reader, AB4T is hard to put down, even for an old guy like me!

I'm so impressed with this resource, that I will be purchasing several copies for our youth ministry, making them available for any of our teens who would like read it.

If you have a teen in you home, I would suggest you grab a copy of AB4T for them for Christmas. They will love it! Or, make a few copies available to the youth in your church. It's a resource that will come in handy.

Have you read the original Answers Books? If so, what did you think? Would you consider AB4T for the teens in your family? You can leave your thoughts in the comments section below.

I loved this book. This book will help to prove to Christians who are having doubts or anyone who is wondering which religion is right. It says it's for teens and while it talks mostly to them, anyone could read this. This book has proof and real evidence that helped me in doubt and can definitely shake off anyone else's doubts. This book answers 15 popular questions:
1) How can anyone believe that the Bible is true since it was written so long ago when people didn't know stuff?
2) If God's really so great, why does He let so much pain and bad stuff happen in the world, like earthquakes, floods, and wars?
3) I believe God created the earth, but does it really matter how old the earth is?
4) Who has the most evidence- creationists or evolutionists?
5) With everything I hear about God not existing... how can we even know that He does exist?
6) Come on, why would God punish the whole world for one guy's mistake?
7) If God really loved the world, why would He make a flood to kill everyone off?
8) How could God populate the world with just two people a few thousand years ago?
9) Should people from different races marry each other, or is that wrong?
10) Why should I listen to what the Bible says about sex?
11) If Christians are supposed to love everybody, why do they always seem to hate gay people?
12) How are we supposed to talk about God and the Bible in school when it's illegal?
13) How can we be sure Jesus is the only way to get to God?
14) The Bible... and dinosaurs... and dragons?
15) Why would God ever want to save someone as messed up as me?

I really like the new Answers Book For Teens. As someone that has done youth ministry for over six years, this is a book that I would like to have had back when I started. The Answers in Genesis team has done an awesome job answering some of the toughest questions about very relevant, hot topics with today's teens.

They give sound, biblical truths for the answers to these topics, which include:
*Creation vs Evolution
*Science and Presuppositions
*Believing the Bible to be True
*Atheism
*Sin, Hell, and Punishment
*Noah's Flood
*Sex and Homosexuality
*Racism
*And more...

Though this book is written for teens, I would recommend this to anyone. It's design is edgy and visually stimulating, and it is written in a way that is simple to understand using common, everyday language. It's an easy read that strengthens your faith, and helps equip you to defend the Bible and to give an answer for the hope that in you.

AB4T
By Bodie Hodge, Tommy Mitchell with Ken Ham

Teenagers ask tough questions. They deserve real answers. Sadly the vast majority of church programs geared to teenagers today are full of fluff with no substance and no answers. Enter the new Answers Book for Teens from Answers in Genesis.

This book is only 94 pages but packs a powerful punch when it comes to content. Produced in a slick, teen friendly format; this book answers major questions that our youth really want answers to. Each question is covered thoroughly without being too long to intimidate the reader and without talking down to them or “dumbing down” the answer. No nonsense answers that point the reader directly to the Bible will set a foundation for more study of God’s word. While marketed to teens I think young adults or anyone who really wants answers to their questions will profit from this book. This is just what the youth of America need to combat the secular worldview so prevalent in their environment today. Definitely a must have resource for parents and those who work with young people.

I received this complimentary copy from New Leaf Press for this review. A positive review was not required and the opinions expressed here are my own.

When I received this book I was disappointed when I saw so many illustrations and just a little bit of text. I was very surprised and pleased when I started reading the questions and answers.

Each question was one that many teens have and the answers were very complete and thought provoking. My favorite question was the last one. “Why would God ever want to save someone as messed up as me?” It is also the most important question. Many people young and old think that they are unable to come to God. They don’t realize that that is when God wants us the most.

I highly recommend this book.

Disclosure- I received Answers Book for Teens for free from Master Books. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I’m disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.

Geared for teens specifically, this book by New Leaf Publishing takes 15 popular faith based questions and discusses them in a way a teen can relate. Nothing overly theological, just the basic gist to get teens started into deeper research if they are interested.
Questions like “How do we know God really exists”?, “How can we be sure Jesus is the only way to heaven?” and many more.
Using scripture references and highlighting biblical answers to the questions, the authors convey acceptable answers for these questions.
Great personal devotional or as a youth group study. Hip and current for teens, but in-depth enough to answer their probing questions.

I received a copy of this book from Master books in exchange for an honest review.
