This is a wonderful, Christian book for parents to read to their children to answer the age-old question "Where do babies come from?" It is beautifully illustrated and full of Scripture.

What an incredible story this is! It is a beautiful story of conception through birth and beyond, told in a Biblical and child appropriate way. If you have ever had your child ask, "Where do babies come from?" I could not think of a better book or way to describe it than this book You and your child can read through each week of pregnancy and read what body parts are being formed, how big the baby is and the size of the baby is compared to objects that a child would know like an olive. I loved that there was scripture referenced and the illustrations are exquisite. The illustrator did a wonderful job of depicting babies and families from many different cultures and nationalities, and there is even discussion of births of multiples. It was so fun reading this book with my sons and remembering when I was pregnant with them. They were fascinated with every detail of the book. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants an honest and Biblical description of how to tell your child where babies come from. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is a delightful new picture book explaining the time from conception to birth for children. The publishers state that it is suitable for 2-6 as a read aloud and 8 to 11 for reading alone. I suspect that children in the middle of this age range will benefit most.
I read this aloud to my children aged 7 and 9. The seven year old was particularly pleased with the book and its illustrations.
The narrator speaks as a mother explaining to a child about conception, development in utero and birth. The whole is written from a clear Christian worldview and is accompanied by texts from the ESV. Each page has colour illustrations which add to the text but are unlikely to disturb a sensitive child. In particular, birth is handled in a matter of fact way including the fact that it is painful but the picture is of parents holding a baby.
Highly recommended and should be in the library of every Christian family.

Wonderfully Made is a beautiful book both in word and pictures. Written by Danika Cooley and illustrated by Jeff Anderson, it teaches young children the wonders of human creation from the union of sperm and egg all the way through to physical birth. Incorporating appropriate Bible verses, the book demonstrates how we are fearfully and wonderfully made. In the final pages, the book continues the theme of birth by explaining how we can be spiritually reborn and live for Jesus. This book should be in every home.
